DESCRIPTION:CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTuesdays through Sundays at 5:30 – 6:30pm\, Royal Grove at Royal Hawaiian Center has FREE Hula Hawaiian Cultural Performances.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are also many other FREE hula performances at various times & in different locations on Oahu\, Hawaii.\n1. Mondays through Wednesdays at 9:30AM Kilohana Hula Waikiki Show (https://experiencekilohana.com/) features Merrie Monarch Festival dancers\, produced by Old Lahaina Lū‘au stage director at the Pā Hula Kūhiō Beach Hula Mound\, near the Duke Kahanamoku Statue on Kalākaua Ave.\nAt the same location on Wed from 6.30pm is a hula show The Return of Kapaemahu\n\n\n2. Starts at Lamakū Torch Tower on Kalākaua Avenue & then proceeds to the Level 1 Queen’s Court stage. O Nā Lani Sunset Stories can be seen every Monday\, Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 p.m. (May-August) and 6 p.m. (September-April). https://shopinternationalmarketplace.com/events/hula-show\nThe International Market Place also has the Royal Hawaiian Band founded by King Kamehameha III in 1836\, that plays Thursdays noon to 12:45pm.\n\n\n\n\n3. Daily shows at Ala Moana Center either the CenterStage or the Ewa Wing stage (https://www.alamoanacenter.com/en/events/performances).  There is also a keiki hula show on the CenterStage 10-11AM on Sundays.\n\n4. Waikīkī Beach Walk Plaza offers a vibrant retail zone with an outdoor garden stage hosting hula shows and live entertainment such as every Tuesday 4:30-6pm Kū Haʻaheo is an entertaining concert by Kamanawa (Blaine Kia & Kalei Kahalewai)\, with the Hālau Ka Waikahe Lani Mālie hula company.\n\n  \n\n

Ward Amphitheater (1050 Ala Moana Boulevard\, Honolulu): Presented by Native Books\, young adults and kupuna (elders) can enjoy free beginning hula lessons from 5 to 6 p.m. \n  \n

The Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i (FLH) – 75th Annual Booksale is presented by Hawai‘i State Federal Credit Union (HSFCU). \nAt Hawai‘i’s largest used booksale\, you can choose from over 125\,000 books in every category imaginable! \nSince 1947\, the FLH Annual Sale has invited Hawai‘i residents to browse selections of new and used\, out-of-print and bestselling books and media. Three quarters of a century later\, the sale is an island tradition and each summer thousands readers of all ages and backgrounds converge for 11 days of bargains and a selection of titles to rival any bookstore. \n \nEncompassing much more than books\, the booksale will feature a selection of CDs\, DVDs\, comics and manga\, and many more hard-to-find items. A popular section of the sale is the eclectic selection of donated ART.
