    Special Charity event – Pool & Jacuzzi party with karaoke

    This is a special charity event where proceeds will go to charity, such as WAM (Women & Minorities) &/or InnocentConvicts.org.  See https://Help.TSasaki.org MUST RSVP with minimum $20 donation.  Light refreshments will be provided while supplies last.  Singing &/or swimming is optional.  Some just come to mingle. Park at Ala Moana or on the street.  Please fill out the contact form to stay informed w/updates & receive Sasaki’s cell number/email.  You MUST provide your email & cell to be allowed because this is a private bldg where we must have accountability.  If you invite guest(s) &/or children, you are fully responsible for them & liable.  They must also RSVP & give us their info. This is a private bldg where we are guests, so you MUST be on your best behavior.  For eg, you canNOT eat or drink at or near the pool/jacuzzi for sanitary reasons.  You can't smoke or vape anywhere.  You must bring service animal proof if you want to bring your pet.  We canNOT risk our access to this venue so will not hesitate to kick you out if you misbehave or become a problem.     Karaoke Potluck Pool Party September

    Join us for another Karaoke Potluck Pool Party. 5 hours of karaoke & eating…&/or take a dip in the pool or jacuzzi/hot tub.  Singing &/or swimming is optional.  Some just come to mingle. BYOB (bring your own beverages).  Each person should bring $15/person  OR  each person should bring $5 AND a main dish/entree to share (which should be >$10 & >8 servings; NOT snacks). The $5 is to defray/subsidize costs of the karaoke machine/mics, the plates/utensils/sundries/etc, deposit for the room, YouTube Premium, & to buy a small gift for the person who lets us use the place.  You can always give more.  And if you can’t afford it, please contact Sasaki well in advance so we can arrange something (eg, you could help setup & clean up).     Whether you do West Coast Swing (WCS), East Coast Swing, or Country Swing, come join the Swing Dance Club of Hawaii on certain Sundays in Waikiki for their dance. The Cost is free for students & approved volunteers; $5 for members (membership costs $20/year); & $10 for drop ins.  Preferably pay in advance on their website.  https://swingdanceclubhawaii.org 5:00 PM - 8:15 PM  The city opens its doors for us at 5:00 PM. Admission is $5 for members or $10 for non-members. 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM: West Coast Swing lesson 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM: open dancing to a mix of music. Lessons from 5:15 - 6:15 PM Start with a lesson to get you started or help fine-tune your skills. We conduct two concurrent classes.  One class is geared for the first timers and those less experienced with West Coast Swing.  The second class is geared for more intermediate and above dancers with competency in the basic 6 count patterns as well as the 8 count whip.  Those without a partner are welcome.     Like Country Music?  Interested in learning country dancing? Come join us at the only country bar in town, Whiskey Dix Saloon in Aiea by Pearlridge.  Single & partner dancing available. Lessons (7:30 - 9pm) are free with cover charge/admission (which is only $5).  Mondays specialize in partner dancing instruction.  On Wed, there's free admission for women & line dancing lessons as well but gets pretty crowded.  Social Dancing follows the lessons. Boots & cowboy hat are optional.

    Tuesdays 11 AM - 12noon at the Royal Hawaiian Center (https://www.royalhawaiiancenter.com/events/hula-lessons). The Royal Hawaiian Center offers many other FREE events (https://www.royalhawaiiancenter.com/events) such as RoofTop Stargazing, Live Music, 'ukulele & lauhala weaving lessons. There are several other places to get FREE Hula Lessons: 1. Ward Amphitheater (1050 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu): Presented by Native Books, young adults and kupuna (elders) can enjoy free beginning hula lessons from 5 to 6 p.m.

    CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT Tuesdays through Sundays at 5:30 - 6:30pm, Royal Grove at Royal Hawaiian Center has FREE Hula Hawaiian Cultural Performances. There are also many other FREE hula performances at various times & in different locations on Oahu, Hawaii. 1. Mondays through Wednesdays at 9:30AM Kilohana Hula Waikiki Show (https://experiencekilohana.com/) features Merrie Monarch Festival dancers, produced by Old Lahaina Lū‘au stage director at the Pā Hula Kūhiō Beach Hula Mound, near the Duke Kahanamoku Statue on Kalākaua Ave. At the same location on Wed from 6.30pm is a hula show The Return of Kapaemahu 2. Starts at Lamakū Torch Tower on Kalākaua Avenue & then proceeds to the Level 1 Queen’s Court stage.
