    Makapu'u lighthouse trail - very short and easy. Since whales are still lurking in the ocean, this will be a good time to do whale watching during the hike. Well paved trail. It's just like a short walk up the road to the lighthouse We can also go the beach for sometime after this hike. Beach trail is also very short and flat all the way. We can stop by Koko Marina plaza for lunch before returning home   FREE event. Meeting point - 9 am at the trail entrance While we make safety a priority, by coming to our events you understand that you are solely responsible for your own safety & should not do anything that you should not do, esp if you have medical conditions or other restrictions.

    FREE event.  Come join us for a beautiful hike/walk along the SouthEast shore of Oahu. We will meet at the first lookout along Kalanianaole Highway in Hawaii Kai where you can park (it comes right after you pass the gun shooting range) & is called Lanai Lookout.  Please car pool as much as possible due to the tourist crowds & limited parking. Per our guide Gomathi/Gee: "We will be hiking the beautiful south west shore for 1 mile and will be walking in the street while coming back to the cars. We might be climbing lava rocks a little but really not that bad. It's more like a walk than hike except for few places that require short climbs Good shoes are necessary. Flip flops or slippers might be dangerous. In few places, we might get the feet wet (happened once in 20 times for me). Bring lots of water as there is no shade in this trail."     FREE event.  Come Join Sasaki Social Hawaii (SSH) for another scenic relaxing hike through Pu'u Pia Trail in the Honolulu Watershed Forest Reserve. Pu'u Pia Trail Hike is a popular & easy hike in Honolulu. You can get more info here, here, here, & here. Please fill out our contact form with phone number so that we know you are coming, you can receive Sasaki's cell to communicate, & we can try to carpool.  We often go to lunch afterwards. Our hiking guru Gee says: "It is a short 1 mile one way (2 miles total) easy trail up the hill but no asphalt. It is a steady incline with Manoa valley and mountain view. The path winds through a shaded lush forest for most of the hike. Exotic flowers and large trees with huge leaves makes it a wonderful, family-friendly hike that's on the easy side. Lots of roots. At the top, the valley view is beautiful. A easier hike with mountain and valley views at the top. Good shoes are required. Rain can make the trail very slippery. Be prepared for rainy weather.   • Likeke Falls Hike

    Our Hiking Guide Gee is taking us on another scenic adventure. Old Pali road to Pali lookout and Likeke falls hike Parking - koolau golf course $10/vehicle (so perhaps passengers can chip in to pay for the driver of the carpool). You can park outside the main gate in the street for free but parking is very limited so come early if you plan to park in the street. You will get ticket if you don't park within the white marker lines in the street. Carpool as much as possible We will meet at 8 am in koolau golf course parking lot and start the hike at 8.30 am to the likeke falls. We'll come back to the parking and take the 2nd trail to hike the old Pali road to the lookout. We will finish the hike in the koolau golf course parking lot. 3.5 hours and total 5 miles approximately in and out of the trails.     Join us for a casual hike on the Aiea Loop Trail. FREE https://www.alltrails.com/trail/hawaii/oahu/aiea-loop-trail This is a 5 mile hike that is mostly flat with several areas to take water break rests. With scenic views such as of H3, it will take at least 3 hours to complete the hike. Please bring sun protection like a hat/cap/sunscreen/etc, at least 2 liters of water per person, good footwear, snacks, & clothing for bad weather just in case. Please carpool if possible (you can contact us in advance so we can coordinate) as parking is in high demand so coming by 8:30 is almost required. WE WILL MEET AT THE TOP OF THE TRAIL. Depending on the fitness level of attendees, we may have two groups one fast paced & the other slower. Gee will be the lead (ie, she will be in front of everyone) & I (Terry) will be the sweeper/follow (ie, I will make sure that everyone is in front of me).
