    Karaoke Potluck Pool Party – Christmas Edition

    Join us for another Karaoke Potluck Pool Party. 5 hours of karaoke & eating…&/or take a dip in the pool or jacuzzi/hot tub.  Singing &/or swimming is optional.  Some just come to mingle. BYOB (bring your own beverages).  Each person should bring $5 AND a main dish/entree to share (which should be >$10 & >8 servings). OR you can bring $15/person. The $5 is to defray/subsidize costs of the karaoke machine/mics, the plates/utensils/sundries/etc, & to buy a small gift for the person who lets us use the place.  You can always give more.  And if you can’t afford it, please contact Sasaki well in advance so we can arrange something (eg, you could help setup & clean up). Park at Ala Moana or on the street.  Please fill out the contact form to stay informed w/updates & receive Sasaki’s cell number/email.  You MUST provide your email & cell to be allowed because this is a private bldg where we must have accountability.     Free, family-friendly evening of art and music at HiSAM (Hawaii State Art Museum)/Capitol Modern. Hawaii State Art Museum is an excellent museum which is FREE admission (https://hisam.hawaii.gov/exhibits/). The Lēʻahi Gallery and Sculpture Garden will be open. Come visit and enjoy performances in the garden. The performances vary but usually there is live music & dancing for visitors. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

    Kaena Point Hike – New Meeting Location due to high waves

    Come join SMASH for another amazing hike up to Kaena Point Hike with the awesome views. Last time we tried on Jan 21st, they closed the entire road & didn't allow anyone in so we ended up going to Pink Pillbox.  It was awesome.  Then we ate at El Ranchero in Kapolei.  We had a great time but want to do Kaena Point again.  However, we had to change the meeting location due to high waves closing the west side entrance. RSVP by filling out the contact form to receive Sasaki’s cell so you can text him with issues. Kaena point hike - flat 5 miles in and out trail at the end of waianae. No shade on the entire trail so bring sun screen, caps, lots of water etc.  It is open coastline throughout and interested people can take a dip in the ocean in the end. If monk seals are present - rangers will not allow people in the water Parking is very limited so car pooling is recommended. No designated parking spots here. Then join us for a night of mayhem as we make the Earth tremble before the awesome power of our team of heroes?villains. This is a FREE game night with a table top roleplaying game where you play the hero/villain & decide what happens next.  No experience or materials necessary. We will be running a one-shot adventure as well as conducting a session zero.  If you don't know what that means, that's ok.
