Sunday Swing Dance in Waikiki
Whether you do West Coast Swing (WCS), East Coast Swing, or Country Swing, come join the Swing Dance Club of Hawaii on certain Sundays in Waikiki for their dance. The Cost is free for students & approved volunteers; $5 for members (membership costs $20/year); & $10 for drop ins. Preferably pay in advance on their website. https://swingdanceclubhawaii.org 5:00 PM - 8:15 PM The city opens its doors for us at 5:00 PM. Admission is $5 for members or $10 for non-members. 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM: West Coast Swing lesson 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM: open dancing to a mix of music. Lessons from 5:15 - 6:15 PM Start with a lesson to get you started or help fine-tune your skills. We conduct two concurrent classes. One class is geared for the first timers and those less experienced with West Coast Swing. The second class is geared for more intermediate and above dancers with competency in the basic 6 count patterns as well as the 8 count whip. Those without a partner are welcome. We regularly rotate students to new partners throughout the lesson to accommodate those without partners and to improve everyone's ability to learn.
