    The Kawaii Kon is an annual 3 day celebration of Japanese culture, anime, and pop-culture held in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kawaii Kon will be March 29 – 31, 2024 at Hawaii Convention Center, 1801 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815 https://kawaiikon.com/information/about-us/ Attendance was 13,076 in 2019 & 20,489 in 2023. Due to no Covid issues, the attendance is expected to be ~25,000 this year. There are many different events & pricing varies https://kawaiikon.com/registration/attendees/pre-registration-information/    We highly recommend pre-registration versus buying passes at the door. Our own Terry Sasaki will be a guest GM at the convention running several different RPG games such as: Savage Worlds or SWADE (Deadlands, Pathfinder, & Holler), Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk Red, Witcher, Lord of the Rings 5e, PenDragon, RuneQuest, etc.  These are all FREE to participate with the price of admission.  There will be PRIZES such as to keep the game after the session or vouchers.

    Come join a gathering led by Ming Chi, a leader of nonprofits, for a night of board games. You can bring your own game or join someone else's.  Most of the games are on the level of Pandemic or Catan. They also play social deduction games like Werewolf. There is a potluck dinner.  Please bring food to share. While the event is free, it is held on church property, so donations either to the church or Ming's many worthy nonprofits are appreciated.

    A Social Deduction and Party Game event host for Honolulu, offering weekly (free!) meetups to play games, meet people, and have fun. Come downtown to Kaka’ako to enjoy party games and social games! We host at ‘A’ali’i in Ward Village, parking is free at Whole Foods and ‘A’ali’i for the duration of the event. Come over and enjoy some food (you are welcome to bring), games, and entertainment! By coming you are agreeing to comply with all laws & building rules as we are guests in a private residential tower.     WHAT COULD BE BETTER THAN A SUPERBOWL PARTY? HOW ABOUT ADDING A POOL, JACUZZI, POTLUCK, SUNBATHING DECK, & KARAOKE?!? Come watch the SuperBowl with SMASH.  Then enjoy karaoke after the game (game ends ~5:30pm)…&/or take a dip in the pool or jacuzzi/hot tub.  Or just get some sun.  Watching the game, Singing, &/or swimming are optional.  Some just come to mingle. It is Potluck so each person should bring $20/person  OR  each person should bring $10 AND a main dish/entree to share (which should be >$10 & >8 servings; NOT snacks).  BYOB (bring your own beverages so bringing drinks doesn't count...please don't drink other people's drinks).   If you arrive after football/6pm, then you can pay $5 less. The money is to defray/subsidize costs of the karaoke machine/mics, the plates/utensils/sundries/etc, deposit for the room, YouTube Premium, & to buy a small gift for the person who lets us use the place.  You can always give more.  And if you can’t afford it, please contact Sasaki well in advance so we can arrange something (eg, you could help setup & clean up).
