    CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT Tuesdays through Sundays at 5:30 - 6:30pm, Royal Grove at Royal Hawaiian Center has FREE Hula Hawaiian Cultural Performances. There are also many other FREE hula performances at various times & in different locations on Oahu, Hawaii. 1. Mondays through Wednesdays at 9:30AM Kilohana Hula Waikiki Show (https://experiencekilohana.com/) features Merrie Monarch Festival dancers, produced by Old Lahaina Lū‘au stage director at the Pā Hula Kūhiō Beach Hula Mound, near the Duke Kahanamoku Statue on Kalākaua Ave. At the same location on Wed from 6.30pm is a hula show The Return of Kapaemahu 2. Starts at Lamakū Torch Tower on Kalākaua Avenue & then proceeds to the Level 1 Queen’s Court stage. O Nā Lani Sunset Stories can be seen every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 p.m. (May-August) and 6 p.m. (September-April). https://shopinternationalmarketplace.com/events/hula-show The International Market Place also has the Royal Hawaiian Band founded by King Kamehameha III in 1836, that plays Thursdays noon to 12:45pm. 3.     "Get ready for a Cuban-style salsa and timba social at the beach! Come dance salsa, casino, rueda de casino, and more! Look for us between the aquarium and Barefoot Beach Cafe near Public’s surf break. Invite your friends and family to join! Bring a dish to share and your own drink. Bring a blanket or chair to sit when not dancing. Street parking free after 6 pm. Metered parking is a quarter for each half hour before 6 pm. No cover charge. Participation is at your own risk. We look forward to seeing you there. " Every First Saturday, the Rueda808 team & friends gather for a picnic, potluck, salsa party. This is associated with the FREE Salsa lessons at UH Manoa.

    Interested in learning salsa? Come join us & learn salsa for free. We will be learning Cuban Salsa & Rueda de Casino from Gordon Walker, an amazing & experienced teacher. UHM Salsa has FREE classes each Tuesday Night (6-8pm) as well as Sunday (2-4pm). They are located at Studio 3 in the Clarence T Ching Athletic Complex 2nd floor between Stan Sheriff & the Aquatic complex.

    Free, family-friendly evening of art and music at HiSAM (Hawaii State Art Museum)/Capitol Modern. Hawaii State Art Museum is an excellent museum which is FREE admission (https://hisam.hawaii.gov/exhibits/). The Lēʻahi Gallery and Sculpture Garden will be open. Come visit and enjoy performances in the garden. The performances vary but usually there is live music & dancing for visitors. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Usually, we will head to Chinatown later for some bar hopping &/or dancing.

    This event happens every other week (However, it also happens on Saturdays every other week.  In other words, one week it is on Sunday, the next on Saturday.  Be sure to check carefully so you don't miss it or go on the wrong day). Join the Honolulu Language Club for friendly conversation in Japanese on the UH Mānoa campus. We'll sit at tables on the open-air patio of Saunders Hall. Parking on Sundays is free and plentiful (University Ave, Maile Way, Varney Circle). Please note, the restrooms in the art building are usually open. It is the first building on the ocean / Ewa side of the the campus mall. The restrooms are in the back, across from the elevator. Please feel free to bring your own refreshments, and please be open to conversation with people of all ages.
