    Every first Monday, the Honolulu Beerworks has a Jazz night with live music. Join us for us for a night of easy listening with free admission. It does get crowded fast so, come early to find a seat, grab a beer, & relax.

    Karaoke Potluck Pool Party

    Join us for another Karaoke Potluck Pool Party. 5 hours of karaoke & eating…&/or take a dip in the pool or jacuzzi/hot tub.  Singing &/or swimming is optional.  Some just come to mingle. BYOB (bring your own beverages).  Each person should bring $5 AND a main dish/entree to share (which should be >$10 & >8 servings). OR you can bring $15/person. The $5 is to defray/subsidize costs of the karaoke machine/mics, the plates/utensils/sundries/etc, deposit for the room, & to buy a small gift for the person who lets us use the place.  You can always give more.  And if you can’t afford it, please contact Sasaki well in advance so we can arrange something (eg, you could help setup & clean up). Park at Ala Moana or on the street.  Please fill out the contact form to stay informed w/updates & receive Sasaki’s cell number/email.  You MUST provide your email & cell to be allowed because this is a private bldg where we must have accountability.  If you invite guest(s), you are fully responsible for them & liable.     Hawaii's Kawaii Kon is March 29-31, 2024

    The Kawaii Kon is an annual 3 day celebration of Japanese culture, anime, and pop-culture held in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kawaii Kon will be March 29 – 31, 2024 at Hawaii Convention Center, 1801 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815 https://kawaiikon.com/information/about-us/ Attendance was 13,076 in 2019 & 20,489 in 2023. Due to no Covid issues, the attendance is expected to be ~25,000 this year. There are many different events & pricing varies https://kawaiikon.com/registration/attendees/pre-registration-information/    We highly recommend pre-registration versus buying passes at the door. Our own Terry Sasaki will be a guest GM at the convention running several different RPG games such as: Savage Worlds or SWADE (Deadlands, Pathfinder, & Holler), Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk Red, Witcher, Lord of the Rings 5e, PenDragon, RuneQuest, etc.  These are all FREE to participate with the price of admission.  There will be PRIZES such as to keep the game after the session or vouchers.

    Live Performances at the Hawaii State Art Museum

    First Friday – Art, Music & Dancing Museum Night

    Free, family-friendly evening of art and music at HiSAM (Hawaii State Art Museum)/Capitol Modern. Hawaii State Art Museum is an excellent museum which is FREE admission (https://hisam.hawaii.gov/exhibits/). The Lēʻahi Gallery and Sculpture Garden will be open. Come visit and enjoy performances in the garden. The performances vary but usually there is live music & dancing for visitors. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

    View Makapu'u Lighthouse in all its glory

    Hike/Walk Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail

    Makapu'u lighthouse trail - very short and easy. Since whales are still lurking in the ocean, this will be a good time to do whale watching during the hike. Well paved trail. It's just like a short walk up the road to the lighthouse We can also go the beach for sometime after this hike. Beach trail is also very short and flat all the way. We can stop by Koko Marina plaza for lunch before returning home   FREE event. Meeting point - 9 am at the trail entrance Gee will be the lead (ie, she will be in front of everyone) & I (Terry) will be the sweeper/follow (ie, I will make sure that everyone is in front of me). You should make sure that you are between us, hopefully with eyes on one of us at all times for safety. Let’s have a safe but enjoyable day together. After the hike, we will probably head over to some place to feed our hungry bellies. Brainstorm where at! : ) IF THE WEATHER IS BAD, ASSUME THAT WE HAVE CANCELED THE EVENT.
